What I Learned . . .
Did you know Chia Pets use chia seeds, which are an actual kind of seed, like basil or grass? I didn't, until a customer came in asking for them.
It seems chia seeds are high in Omega3 fatty acids -- everything is either high in Omega3s or antioxidants these days -- and her eye doctor told her to eat them for the good of her eyes. Unfortunately, we don't carry chia seeds, and neither does the Food Co-op. Who knew they were a diet fad?
I'm gonna have to tell my dog Lucia, also known as Chia Bia.
